¡Buenas! My name is Saimary Velázquez Carrasquillo, and I’m the Sib-Fam and Co-Community Engagement coordinator this year. I’m a junior majoring in CSRE and Anthropology, originally from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico (mi gente <3), but now moved to Fitchburg, Massachusetts. I’m passionate about advocating and fighting for a free Caribbean while addressing lasting colonial issues surrounding race, class, colorism, and identity. I adore Tres Leches (my daughter (my cat)), spacing out, dramatic music, painting, writing, hiking, traveling, and walks. Reach out whenever for whatever :).
