About

Hi everyone! My name is Lina, and I’m the undergraduate coordinator for the WCC STEM Mentoring Program this year. I’m a junior from outside the Dallas, Texas area, majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in Immunology, Race, and Gender. Outside the WCC, I work in a cancer immunology lab and co-chair Sistas in STEM, a group for Black, gender-marginalized students. In my free time, I love trying out new things (please send your music, food, and TV/movie recs my way), listening to music, going on long walks, doing puzzles, and exploring the area with my friends. As a FLI student, I’m passionate about making community accessible for everyone, and that’s why I’m so excited to be contributing to such a welcoming and supportive community at the WCC. I’ve loved being a part of the STEM Mentoring program as a mentee and intern, and I am looking forward to coordinating the program this year. Hope to see you around!
