Hey Y'all! My name is Shameeka M. Wilson-Brown (she/her) and I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Race, Inequality, and Language in Education (RILE). I was born in Williamston, NC, and am very proud of my rural Southern upbringing. GO HEELS! I serve as a Co-Graduate Program Coordinator. My goal, through event planning, is to create positive experiences for Women of Color (WOC) and allies across campus through epic events and community engagement. I enjoy seeing people laugh so you can find me somewhere crackin' a joke or three. When I'm not at the WCC, I enjoy the life of a homebody — spending cozy evenings on the couch with my husband and two fur babies watching a true crime documentary or singing Beyoncé at the top of my lungs with my Sisters at family sleepovers. If you're ever at the WCC, please don't be a stranger!! :)
