Feminist Discussion Nights are an opportunity for students to come together in an informal environment and discuss topics relating to feminism, social justice, and current events. Discussions are held in the WCC main lounge and facilitated by a WCC student staff. The topic of conversation is usually selected in advance and announced to the WCC email list, and links to a few optional readings are circulated in advance.
Previous topics have included criminal justice & restorative justice, religion & feminism, class & gender at Stanford, how white women can show up for women of color, performing (trans)masculinity while working towards gender equity, and many more.
If you're a student interested in attending a Feminist Discussion Night, sign up for our mailing list to hear about the next one. If you have an idea of a topic you'd like to share, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
